Katherine Bergman graduated from the University of
California at Berkeley with a degree in Art History. Upon graduation, Katherine
entered the Horticulture and Floral Design Program at City College of San Francisco where
she received intensive professional training in the field of floral design.
Upon completing the core of her studies, Katherine
started her own business in floral design.
"I felt a lack in the industry of designers whose
creations were evocative and moved you emotionally. You see these fabulous designs
in books and magazines that captured a mood, yet where are these designers in real life?
I wanted to create evocative floral art that is still accessible."
Katherine's continued education in floral design has
lead to new interest in contemporary European designs. Her studies have brought new
perspective and appreciation for the traditional European styles that are the hallmark of
her design style.
